CHRISTMAS DINNER IN IRELAND

The two fifth classes really took this project on.

They decided to undertake a detailed survey of Christmas Dinner in the whole school.

It got the entire school talking about what they eat for Christmas dinner and the outcomes were interesting to see.

I have to say congratulations to both 5th classes: They worked so hard on this project and enjoyed it thoroughly:

They designed the survey, took the photos and drew the graphs.

We will be sending the pie charts in Excel in the coming few days (still putting them together)

The Recipe for Christmas Dinner will follow shortly too [;)]

Christmas Dinner in Slovenia

What do we eat for Christmas in Slovenia?

Survey undertaken at our primary school has showed that we usually start our Christmas dinners with Beef Noodle Soup. Continue with Fried Chicken and Roast Potatoes. Eating bread with main dish is also very common in Slovenia. Lettuce and French salad are the most popular of salads. When we finish with our dinner there is a time for a special and very much typical Slovenian Walnut cake, it’s called Potica. Each family eats Potica for a Christmas. If you feel like you want to prepare it, we are attaching the Recipe. Try to make it and enjoy in tasting it! Recipe; Slovenian Potica.doc

(The total results of the survey are avaliable in the attached document: Survey results - Slovenia.doc)
